Donations & Programmes

Donations & Security

How can I make a donation to Altyn Uya?

On our Donate page, select the cause you wish to support (school kit, student sponsorship, Qurban, water well, Bereke Food Box) and complete your donation instantly and securely with a bank card (Visa, Mastercard, Elkart) or a mobile wallet (MBANK, Elsom, O!Dengi, Balance.kg) through our secure card payment infrastructure (Freedom Pay). Alternatively, you can donate by bank transfer: choose “Bank transfer” at checkout and we will send our account details and SWIFT information by email and WhatsApp (+996 773 444 499) — see our Bank transfer & official details page.

Is it safe to donate online?

Yes. Card payments are processed through Freedom Pay, a licensed payment gateway equipped with 256-bit SSL encryption and 3D Secure protocols. Your card details are never stored on our servers or shared with any third parties. If you prefer, you can also donate by bank transfer directly to the Foundation’s accounts.

Can I donate on behalf of a loved one?

Yes. You can indicate the name of your loved one in the donation form to dedicate the gift in their name or memory. For Qurban sacrifices, the donor or dedicated name is recorded and recited aloud during the sacrifice on camera.

Will I receive a receipt or donation confirmation and a field report?

For card payments, an automatic email confirmation and a digital donation receipt are generated as soon as the payment is successful. For bank transfers, a donation confirmation is sent to your email address once the transfer has reached our account and been confirmed. Photos and personalised video reports documenting your contribution are subsequently shared via WhatsApp or email. Review our Donation Terms, Payments & Refunds for cancellation details.

Qurban Sacrifices

How is proxy Qurban performed and reported?

With your proxy authorisation, animals are selected and slaughtered under strict veterinary supervision in hygienic facilities, following Islamic principles. The donor’s name is recited aloud during the sacrifice on video. The personal video report is delivered directly to you, and the fresh meat supplies the children at our Novopokrovka Care Home and vulnerable families in nearby villages.

What are vow (nazr), aqiqah, thanksgiving (shukr), and voluntary (nafl) sacrifices?

Vow (nazr): Offered upon the fulfilment of a pledge; the meat is given entirely to those in need. Aqiqah: Offered in gratitude for the birth of a newborn. Thanksgiving (shukr): Voluntary sacrifice expressing gratitude for a blessing or overcome hardship. Voluntary (nafl): Offered any day of the year purely as an act of charity. You can delegate any of these through our Donate page.

What are a healing (shifa) sacrifice and a healing sacrifice with sadaqah?

A healing sacrifice is an offering made with the sincere intention and prayer for recovery, health, and relief from illness. The meat is distributed to orphan households and families in need as an act of charity. In the Healing Sacrifice with Sadaqah (sadaqah = voluntary charity), an additional donation covers medicines and treatment costs for families in need.

When can sacrifices be performed?

Obligatory Eid al-Adha Qurbans are performed during the days of Eid al-Adha; please contact us ahead of the holiday to arrange them. Vow, aqiqah, healing, thanksgiving, and nafl sacrifices are carried out year-round on a regular schedule.

Zakat, Sadaqah & Bereke Food Box

Can I entrust my Zakat to Altyn Uya?

Yes. The foundation distributes zakat funds strictly according to established guidelines, reaching widowed mothers, orphans, elderly people without caregivers, and underprivileged students. Zakat funds are ring-fenced and never mixed with general administrative expenses. When donating your Zakat, please write “Zakat” in the transfer reference so that we can allocate it accordingly.

What is the Bereke Food Box?

The Bereke Food Box (bereke means “abundance” in Kyrgyz) is a comprehensive staple food parcel containing flour, oil, sugar, rice, pasta and legumes. Each box covers a family’s basic needs for about a month and is delivered door-to-door year-round, with extra rounds during Ramadan and the winter months, to families with no reliable income.

Clean Water Wells & Education

Where and how are clean water wells drilled?

We drill deep artesian wells in remote Kyrgyz villages where municipal tap water does not reach. Following geological surveys, we drill down to uncontaminated water tables, install casing pipes, submersible pumps, and filtration units. Testing in laboratories accredited by the Ministry of Health verifies the water’s safety. Donors receive technical documentation, opening photos, and a video report.

Can a well be named after the donor or a loved one?

Yes. For individual well sponsorships, an inscribed marble plaque bearing your chosen name or dedication is affixed to the well structure. Video footage capturing the community’s celebration as the clean water first flows is sent to you.

What is “I Want to Study Too!” (Men dagy okuunu kaalaym!) and Student Sponsorship?

“I Want to Study Too!” (Men dagy okuunu kaalaym!) is our annual back-to-school fair providing orphans and needy children with backpacks, full stationery kits, and school uniforms. Rather than passive distributions, we organise festive open fairs where children freely choose their own clothing sizes and colours. Student Sponsorship enables donors to cover the monthly, six-month or annual living, dining, healthcare, and tutoring costs of a child residing at our Novopokrovka Care Home.
